Lee Juck
Pop-rock singer and composer Lee Juck (Korean: 이적; born on February 28, 1974 in Seoul, South Korea) cut his teeth as a member of popular South Korean duo Panic, debuting as a vocalist and lyricist in 1995. Following his stint in Panic, Lee joined forces with pop singer-songwriter Kim Dong-ryul to form Carnival in 1997, and two years later made his debut as a solo artist. Lee released his first solo album, Dead End, in 1999 but garnered acclaim for his third album, 2007's 나무로 만든 노래 (Songs Made of Wood), which scooped an array of accolades at the Korean Music Awards in 2008, winning 'Album of the Year', 'Song of the Year', 'Best Pop Album' and 'Best Pop Song'. Lee's fourth album Love (사랑) followed in 2010, and The Meaning of Solitude (고독의 의미) in 2013. During the 2000s and 2010s, Lee expanded his skillset to cover writing – publishing a collection of short fantasy fiction in 2005 – and acting, playing the part of a medical doctor in sitcom TV show High Kick: Revenge of the Short Legged in 2011. Lee marked the release of his sixth album, Trace, in November 2020.
