Larosh
The Congolese-born French rapper known as Captaine Roshi was born in Kinshasa on June 16, 1996. Raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo, he left the country at age 11 and settled down in the Parisian neighborhood of Pigalle. There, he took his first steps as an MC in the group Ultimate Boyz before launching a solo career through a series of releases on his Soundcloud page. In 2018, he rose to prominence with the #SDD (Serpent Deviendra Dragon) freestyle series, which helped him land a contract with the label Caroline Records. His first mixtape Attaque appeared in 2019, followed by an extended edition titled Contre-Attaque in early 2020. That same year, he released the mixtapes W.A.R. and Attaque II, which featured cameos by PLK, Gradur, and Alpha Wann. Preceded by the EP Road to Larosh in 2021, his highly awaited studio debut Larosh saw the light in 2022 and debuted at Number 12 on the French Albums Chart.
