La Mosca Tsé-Tsé
Rock band from Ramallo, Argentina, formed in 1995 by ex-Reggae and Roll Band's drummer Fernando Castro and former Damas Gratis' guitarist Guillermo Novellis. Named in reference to a popular card game, la Mosca Tsé Tsé made their first public appearance at Ramallo's downtown in front of 10,000 people in December 1995. The following year, la Mosca made a demo at a Rosario's recording studio, getting a record deal signed by the band and Data Pop Rock. Unfortunately, that small label was unable to release their record, deciding to get them free a year later. La Mosca Tsé Tsé signed up to EMI by the end of 1997, releasing their long-awaited first album in March 1998. In the year 2000, la Mosca tsé tsé was awarded by the Spanish Phonographic and Videographic Association (AFYVE) at the Fourth Annual Amigo Awards.
