John Lemke
Originating from Berlin but residing in Glasgow, John Lemke is a composer and sound designer who creates cinematic electronic music utilizing prepared pianos and experimental guitar techniques. His music ranges from downtempo and ambient to dubby techno, taking influence from contemporary jazz, classical, tango, post-rock and other genres. Lemke first became known through his film and television work, providing scores for BBC documentaries, contributing to production libraries, and composing music for indie films. He signed to German label Denovali Records for his solo work, debuting in early 2013 with single "Traveller," EP Walizka, and full-length People Do. An expanded version of Walizka containing remixes was issued in 2014, and Lemke's second full-length, Nomad Frequencies, appeared in 2015.
