Fnaïre

The Fnaïre group was founded in 2001 in Marrakech, Morocco. Its name means "lanterns", to signify its desire to light the way for young people. The group comprises four singers: Mohsen Tizaf, Achraf Aarab, Hicham Belkas and Khalifa Mennani. Their association gave birth to their first studio album, Lafthouh , in 2004. Led by the tracks Bahjawy and Tonea Biladi, it offers an original musical formula combining traditional music and rap. Three years later, the opus Yad El Henna (يد الحنة) proved a big hit in the country, thanks in particular to collaborations with Cheb Bilal and Samira Saïd, who highlighted the group's repertoire. Sadly, the following year, Hicham Belkas, aged just 25, died in a traffic accident in Fez. Nevertheless, the band carried on, delivering the self-produced album البسمة = Al Basma in 2012. In 2018, Fnaïre appears as a duet with Nora Fatehi on the track "Dilbar Arabic" . Two years later, the group teamed up this time with Saad Lamjarred for the track "Asif Habibi".
