David Frye
Master Nixon-impersonator Frye was one of the hottest comedians during that turbulent administration. Honing his craft in nightclubs and on several comedy concept recordings, including New First Family 1968 (1966), Frye reached stardom as Nixon ascended and won the White House, then fell out of favor as Nixon gave up his position. Much of Frye's recorded work is dated, but when put into the context of the era it came from, it is a pretty accurate and funny mirror of those tumultuous times.
