Christopher D Ashley
An electronic pop/rock artist who was a bit of a musical prodigy as a child, Christopher D. Ashley would soon disavow himself of the stale classical ethic and embrace rock and experimentalism -- along with an interest in electronic sounds -- and release a debut album that was more reminiscent of New Order. As a teen, Ashley had dichotomous musical interests, on the one hand looking up to artists such as John Cage, on the other wanting to worship at the altar of thrash metal built by one Dave Mustaine. Eventually, Ashley discovered electronic music, and found the outlet for his talents. He was signed to Sunday Best Recordings and released his debut full-length, Cruel Romantics, in April of 2008.
