Слава
Slava is a stage name of a Russian singer Anastasia Slanevskaya, born in Moscow in May 15, 1980. Slava’s career kick-started after she had been discovered by a TV director Kalvarsky while performing at the karaoke bar. Her first single "Люблю и ненавижу" was nominated for the MTV Russian Music Awards 2004. In the same year, the debut album Попутчица was released. Four years later, Slava decided to release her first English-language album, Eclipse, and recorded a track featuring Craig David. Slava’s music is a representation of Russian pop, a mix of romantic and dramatic feelings of a strong personality expressed in her biggest hits, like "Одиночество". Almost every year, Slava gets another Golden Gramophone or The Song of the Year Award – the most prestigious music awards in Russian show business.
