Xiayin Wang

Chinese pianist Xiayin Wang began taking piano lessons at age five. In 1997, she moved to New York and attended the Manhattan School of Music, where she earned her Bachelor's, Master's, and professional studies degrees. She pursued graduate work at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and participated in competitions where she won many awards. She has performed internationally, appearing in concert with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Houston Symphony Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Wiener Kammerorchester, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, and the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma, and recording with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. She has recorded for Chandos, Marquis Classics, and Naxos.
