Lewis Fautzi

Luis Gonçalves, born in Barcelos, Portugal in 1991, began producing techno music at a young age. His deep, hypnotic tracks, released under the names Lewis Fautzi and Nuklear Default, caught the attention of DJs and labels across Europe, and he accumulated releases on labels such as Soniculture, Figure, Spark Musik, and Konstrukt Records. He founded his own label, Faut Section, in 2013, in order to release raw, minimal techno by similarly minded artists. Lewis Fautzi's debut full-length, The Gare Album, arrived on Soma in 2014, showcasing his skill for creating driving dance tracks, but also looking toward outer space. Fully immersed in this outer space theme, mini-album Space Exploration followed in 2015. Several EPs on labels like Soma, Figure, and Warm Up Recordings led to the release of full-length The Ascension of Mind, issued by PoleGroup in 2017.
