Miky Woodz

The multifaceted Miky Woodz is a Puerto Rican rapper and singer who tempers his tough and authoritative verses with dulcet hooks. He built a substantial following through YouTube and guest appearances on his way to scoring a Top Ten Billboard Latin Albums hit with El OG (2018), featuring the Bad Bunny collaboration "Estamos Clear." Los 90 Piketes (2020), Woodz's follow-up, affirmed his high standing in the urbano field with another Top Ten showing. His projects since then include Living Life (2021), highlighted by the brash Latin trap of "La MVP," followed by OG City (2023) and Built Different (2024).Born in Carolina, Puerto Rico, Woodz (Miguel Ángel Rodríguez Rivera) gained commercial ground in the mid-2010s with featured roles on tracks by artists such as Farruko, Benny Benni, and Juhn. Signed to the Miami-based label Gold2 Latin Music, Woodz eventually stood out with his own singles accompanied by videos, such as "Alcoba [Remix]," "En Lo Oscuro Sin Perse," and "Tarde o Temprano," all three of which amassed streams and YouTube views in the millions. Tracks such as these were released steadily from 2015 through 2017, the last year of which also brought the full-length Before Famous. Woodz made much more progress in May 2018 with El OG. Highlighted by the RIAA-certified triple Latin platinum Bad Bunny collaboration "Estamos Clear," the set debuted at number six on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart. Woodz enjoyed additional commercial success during this period with supplemental singles "Na' Personal," "A Todas Horas," and "Se Nota" achieving Latin gold certifications. Woodz began the next decade with Los 90 Piketes, which entered the Latin chart at number ten in April 2020. "Provócame" (a reggaeton collaboration with Wisin), "Carta Real" (a trap-styled ballad), and a remix of Woodz and J Balvin's strutting single "Pinky Ring" (featuring Jhayco and Myke Towers) were among the standouts. The brief Living Life followed in 2021 and contained another one of the artist's most popular tracks, "La MVP." Woodz moved to Rimas Entertainment and delivered OG City and Built Different, typically confident full-lengths issued respectively in 2023 and 2024. After a handful of guest appearances, Woodz issued the spare if powerful "2 Way Player" as his first headlining single of 2025.
