Macario Martínez

Macario Martínez is a Mexican singer-songwriter whose life changed overnight thanks to a viral TikTok video featuring his song "Sueña lindo, corazón." Before gaining recognition, he balanced his job as a street sweeper in Mexico City with his passion for music, independently writing and recording songs from his home. His music career began in 2019, but his breakthrough came in early 2024 when his heartfelt lyrics and story resonated with millions online, propelling him onto radio and television playlists. The sudden surge in popularity led to invitations to perform at major events, including the Tecate Pa’l Norte festival and an opening slot for Sabino at Estadio GNP Seguros. His sound, blending indie-folk with raw, introspective storytelling, has drawn the attention of established artists like Danna Paola and Natanael Cano, further cementing his status as one of Mexico’s most promising new voices. Lagunas Brillantes de la Memoria, his debut album, arrived in 2024.
