Ludmilla

Born Ludmila Oliveira da Silva on April 24, 1995, in Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro, Brazilian funk artist Ludmilla first found fame performing as MC Beyoncé when the video for her song "Fala Mal de Mim" went viral in 2012. Following extensive touring and performing in her home country, Ludmilla dropped the MC Beyoncé moniker and signed with Warner Music Brazil in 2014. She released her debut album Hoje, which featured the title track single and "Nao Quero Mais", later that year. She released the follow-up album, 2016's A Danada Sou Eu, which was nominated for the Latin Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Pop Album. In 2019, she left her mark on the hit singles "Onda Diferente" by Anitta and "Qualidade de Vida" by Simone & Simaria while also dropping her third studio album Hello Mundo and an accompanying live LP. Numanice 2, Ludmilla's fourth full-length outing, arrived in 2022 and earned her a Latin Grammy for Best Samba/Pagode Album. After making her first official performance at the Rio de Janeiro Carnival alongside the Beija-Flor parade in 2023, Ludmilla returned later that year with Vilã, an intoxicating blend of pop, trap, and funk caricoa with guest spots by Dallass, Ajaxx, Tasha & Tracie, Stefflon Don, Piso 21, Mariah Angeliq, Oruam, and Vulgo FK. The album featured the promotional singles "Sou Má," "Nasci Pra Vencer," and "Brigas Demais," as well as the streaming hit "Sintomas de Prazer."
