Heathers

Irish indie folk duo Heathers formed in 2007 around the talents of 17-year old Dublin-based twin sisters Louise and Ellie Macnamara. The siblings' penchant for sharp melodies, tight, constant harmonizing, and punk-infused delivery caught the ear of D.I.Y. record label Plan-It-X Records, resulting in the release of their 2008 debut album, Here, Not There, followed by an American tour with like-minded punk-folk band Ghost Mice. They began recording their sophomore effort in early 2010. The resulting Kingdom was issued in 2012 via Aunthill Records. In 2013 they signed with Sony Music, who re-released Kingdom in 2014.
