Dj Koco Aka Shimokita

 Koco aka Shimokita is a renowned Japanese DJ celebrated for his mastery of vinyl, particularly 7-inch records, and his exceptional turntablism skills. He began focusing on spinning 45s in 2011, and his innovative techniques and infectious enthusiasm have since captivated audiences worldwide. His rise to fame accelerated in 2017 when he began sharing videos on social media, showcasing his talent for cutting and juggling vinyl. Known for his impeccable taste and unmatched technical prowess, DJ Koco has performed at prestigious events like the Do-Over Tokyo, Vinyl Destination Tour with DJ Jazzy Jeff, and Bastid’s BBQ Taipei. He has also delivered unforgettable online performances, including on DJ Scratch’s “Scratchvision” and the Boiler Room x Dommune x Technics celebration of the SL-1200 turntable’s 50th anniversary. His set for the Glitterbox Virtual Festival was hailed by Defected Records as the DJ set of the year. In 2024, DJ Koco released "World’s Famous"(2024), a project that embodies his dedication to vinyl culture and his love for blending genres.
