Wiktoria

A Scandinavian pop favourite with a giant, belting voice and soaring, high tempo torch songs, Wiktoria Johansson came to prominence at the 'Melodifestivalen' music competition and reached number three in the Swedish charts with her breakthrough hit 'Save Me'. Growing up in a musical family in the suburbs of Bramhult in Boras, she started singing at three and took piano lessons at eight, before moving to Gothenburg in her teens to study at the Rytmus Music School. Talent shows were a regular part of her childhood and she competed in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest alongside her elder sister Malin in 2011. She then formed a girl group called Dash4 with Hanna Boquist, before entering the 'Melodifestivalen' for the first time in 2016 when she was 19. Her showstopping performance of the quirky, disco pop heartbreaker 'Save Me' saw judges put her straight through to the final of the televised competition and she eventually finished fourth behind winner Frans, still taking the track to number three in the Swedish charts. She also voiced a character in the Swedish version of animated movie 'Moana' and entered 'Melodifestivalen' again in 2017 with the soaring dance anthem 'As I Lay Me Down', which later reached number two in the charts and hit double platinum status. The TV4 show 'Stjarnornas Stjarna' gave her the chance to show her full range of vocal talents and perform opera arias, R&B standards and rocking power ballads. She again made the final of 'Melodifestivalen' in 2019 with the rousing, country-pop singalong 'As I Lay Me Down'.
