Wanessa Camargo

Wanessa Godól Camargo Buaiz, who goes by the name Wanessa Camargo, is a singer-songwriter who performs the popular Brazilian country music form of sertanejo. Daughter of sertanejo singer Zezé Di Camargo, she began performing as a child and studied dancing, later performing in a regional production of the musical 'Cats'. She has appeared on several Brazilian television shows and in films.

She released three eponymous studio albums in 2000, 2001 and 2002 followed by 'W' (2005), 'Total' (2007), 'Meu Momento' (2009), 'DNA' (2011) and '33' (2016). She released many successful singles and scored number one hits on the Brazil singles charts with 'O Amor Nao Deixa' (2000), 'Apaixonada Por Você' (2001) and 'Fly' (2009) featuring Ja Rule. Other tracks include 'Coraçao embrigado' (2016), 'Bumbum no Ar' (2018) with Lia Clark and 'Muñeca Plástica' (2019) with Brisa Carrillo.
