Nakk Mendosa
Born Narcisse Kamga in Seine-Saint-Denis in 1976, French rapper Nakk Mendosa started out in hip-hop collective Soldafada, who released their 1998 debut, Bobigny Terminus, before splitting. Mendosa spent the next ten years making a name for himself as a prolific guest artist, contributing to various mixtapes and appearing on records by the likes of Futur Proche, Sakage Kronik, and Monseigneur Mike. A regular performer on the French urban circuit, he occasionally teased plans for a solo career, releasing Debut EP in 2002 and street album Street Minimum four years later, but it wasn't until 2010, at the relatively late age of 33, that he committed himself to a full-length studio album with Le Monde Est Mon Pays. As a precursor to its follow-up, he released his second street album, Darksun, in 2012.
