Le Poussin Piou

In the bestiary of singing animals, René la Maupe has retired and Lapin Câlin is on the run. Their replacement was born in Italy in July 2012, in the shape of a yellow chick named Il Pulcino Pio. This distant cousin of Caliméro quickly became a phenomenon in his home country, where he became number one on the sales charts in just a few weeks. A Greek version was also successful, before the French version was launched in November 2012. Launched by NRJ radio and boosted by views on YouTube, where it competes with PSY, Le Poussin Piou will soon be ejecting its competitors from the children's dance barnyard.
