Larry
A French rapper of Moroccan descent, Larry matches icy drill beats with his effortless, knotty rhymes. He broke through with 2019's "Woin Woin," a Top Ten hit that appeared on the gold-certified 2020 release Cité blanche. Petit Prince followed in 2021, and the rapper has continued delivering singles, with "Batman" appearing in 2024.
Larry, born Abdelmalik Yahyaoui in Strasbourg, France, initially took up football, boxing, and judo, as well as hip-hop dancing. He started rapping when he was 19, and he began posting freestyles online. He started Gothvm Records with help from his parents, and after he gained a following on social media, Columbia signed him and released singles such as 2019's "Sacoche." "Woin Woin" featuring RK became a major hit, reaching number eight in France, and it appeared on the 2020 release Cité blanche, which made it to number six and was certified gold. Petit Prince followed in 2021, and Larry began releasing a series of "En Pépé" tracks in 2022, along with other songs such as "TCMV" and "Nohalal." "Batman" was his first release of 2024.
