Kitty Kat
Katharina Löwel, known as rapper Kitty Kat, was born on January 22, 1982 in East Berlin. She first gained musical fame as a regular feature for artists on the Aggro Berlin label, with whom she was signed in 2006. She worked most frequently with rapper Sido during this phase. in 2009, she reached number 17 in the German singles charts with Scooter and Tony D and the Sido single "Beweg dein Arsch". Later that year, she released her first album Miyo!, which reached number 29 in her home country and number 51 in Austria. The single "Braves Mädchen" reached number 58 in Germany. While the second album Pink Mafia (2011) reached number 71 in the German charts, the 2012 mixtape Dirty Mixtape and the albums Kattitude (2014) and Love & HipHop (2018) failed to chart. Over the years, Löwel also wrote for the electro-pop duo Glasperlenspiel and was able to break into the German charts as a composer with the singles "Freundschaft" (2012), "Nie Vergessen" (2013) and "Royals & Kings" (2018). in 2021, her collaboration with Shirin David "Be a Hoe / Break a Hoe" became a hit and gave Kitty Kat her first number 1 single in Germany. The song reached number 7 in Austria and number 16 in Switzerland.
