John Bischoff
John Bischoff studied at the California Institute of the Arts and Mills College. He has composed with Robert Moran, James Tenney, and Robert Ashley and is a founding member of the League of Automatic Music Composers, the first computer network band, and the Hub, a computer performance collective. He has published writings on computer music and served on the faculty and staff of the Center for Contemporary Music at Mills College. Outdoor Memory was constructed in 1970 as a computer-implemented listening system that responds to tuning in environmental sounds.
