Joé Dwèt Filé
Known for his Afro-Caribbean-influenced trademark sound, Joé Dwèt Filé is an R&B singer and producer of Haitian descent that first rose to prominence as a ghostwriter for Stoney (“Que toi”), Axel Tony (“Un mot”), and Vegedream (“Mama hé”). Like many artists, his first contact with music was through his local church. After gaining popularity on video-sharing platforms with his group Lespada, he made his solo debut in 2018 with the mixtape #ESOLF (Et Si On Le Faisait), which climbed to Number 47 on the French charts. Following a tour throughout France, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, and the US, Joé Dwèt Filé released his studio debut À Deux in 2019. The album reached Number 4 in France and was followed by an EP titled EIRA only a year later. Preceded by the single “Jolie madame” featuring Ronisia, his second full-length Calypso appeared in 2021 and landed in the Top 4. Other singles from the album included “Oui,” “Tu m'attires,” and “Chérie Coco,” a collaborative track with rapper Naza that went to Number 122 in France.
