Jérémy Frerot

Jérémy Frérot (March 17, 1990) is a French singer-songwriter from Southern France. Born in the commune of Bruges, Frérot picked up the guitar at the age of 17 and then studied to become a physical education teacher. While working as a lifeguard, he met Florian Garcia, with whom he formed the pop duo Fréro Delavega in 2011. The group quickly achieved Internet fame, signing with Capitol Music France and releasing an EP of covers and two highly-successful albums before disbanding in 2017. Previously, they had also participated in the third season of the reality music competition The Voice, la plus belle voix but were eliminated in the quarter-finals. Following Fréro Delavega’s dissolution, Frérot kicked off his solo career with Matriochka (2018), which obtained gold certification after selling 50,000 copies just in France. Preceded by the 2020 single “Un Homme,” a second album titled Meilleure Vie hit the shelves in 2021 shortly after the birth of his first child with swimmer Laure Manaudou.
