Illya Kuryaki & The Valderramas
Latin hardcore/rap Illya Kuryaki & the Valderramas was formed by ex-Pechugo Emmanuel Horvilleur and Argentine rock icon Luis Alberto Spinetta's son Dante Spinetta, making their debut with the release of Fabrico Cuero in 1991, being voted Revelation of the Year by local newspaper Clarín. 1993's Horno Para Calentar los Mares was followed by Chaco in 1995. A year later, Illya Kuryaki & the Valderramas moved to the U.S. to make an MTV Unplugged, released under the name of Ninja Mental, later, successfully performing that same show at Buenos Aires' Opera Theater. In 1997 the Latin rappers recorded Versus, followed by 1999's Leche and 2014's live outing Aplaudan en el Luna.
