Fall Of Serenity
Germany's Fall of Serenity emerged from the ashes of an earlier band called Contrition in 1998, and made their first recording that same year: a 12" vinyl split single with compatriots Heaven Shall Burn, who, along with Caliban, Maroon, and several others, represented a new wave of young bands looking to mix sociopolitical hardcore with melodic death metal. Fall of Serenity didn't fare as well as these others, however, repeatedly changing musicians and record companies while issuing several records like 2001's Grey Man's Requiem, 2003's Royal Killing, and 2006's Bloodred Salvation. The latter featured the most recent lineup: vocalist Renè Betzold, guitarists Eddy Langner and Alexander Fischer, bassist John Gahlert, and drummer Lutz Einenkel.
