Dave Arcari
Born on August 14, 1964 in Glasgow, Scotland, Dave Arcari is an alternative blues (alt.blues) guitarist and songwriter. His style of alt.blues mixes pre-war Delta blues with punk, rockabilly, and trash country. Originally a debt collector, he learned his craft while busking on the streets of Glasgow. He formed his first band Summerfield Blues in the early 1990s, winning the Alexis Korner Memorial Trophy for Scottish Blues Band of the Year at the Edinburgh International Blues Festival in 1993. Later that decade, he formed alt.blues trio Radiotone, releasing three studio albums before breaking the band up and pursuing a solo career. He was also a member of Union Avenue, a band that would play Sun Records-style covers of classic rock, punk, and reggae songs. Dave Arcari released his first solo album, Come with Me, in 2007. He followed that up with Got Me Electric (2009), Devil’s Left Hand (2010), Nobody’s Fool (2012), Whiskey in My Blood (2013/with the Hellsinki Hellraisers), and Live at Memorial Hall.
