Dan Bigras
Dan Bigras is a French rock singer, songwriter, and musician from Quebec whose award-winning recording career was coupled with a successful television acting career. Born on December 23, 1958, in Montreal, Quebec, he made his album debut in 1990 with Ange Animal. His second album, Tue-Moi, was a breakout effort that won a Félix award for Rock Album of the Year at the 1992 Gala de l'ADISQ. Subsequent albums Les Immortelles (1993) and Le Fou du Diable (1995) were nominated for Félix awards, and 2000 et un Enfants (1999) marked his second time winning the award. Following the turn of the century, Bigras made his television acting debut in Rivière-des-Jérémie (2001). Numerous acting roles followed in subsequent years, the majority of them also on television. Four years passed before Bigras made his return to the music marketplace with Bigras 1992/2002 Tout (2003), a collaborative album featuring a wide range of duets with Luce Dufault, Isabelle Boulay, Laurence Jalbert, and others. Subsequent albums include Fou (2005) and Duos de la Tendresse: Les Plus Jolies Voix (2008).
