Crudo Means Raw

Crudo Means Raw is the stage name of Colombian-American rapper and producer Fernando Bustamante. Born in 1988 in New York City, he lived in Long Island until age five before relocating to Medellín, Colombia, with his mother. Influenced by hip-hop acts such as A Tribe Called Quest and Gang Starr, he began rapping during high school with his classmate, soon-to-be international Latin urban star J Balvin. In 2012, Crudo Means Raw made his official debut with the album Amalgama Beats, followed by Voyage: El Pasaje (2015) and Todos Tienen Que Comer (2016). Preceded by the viral hit "La Mitad de la Mitad" and the R&B single "La Titular" featuring Mabiland, his fourth full-length Esmeraldas was released in 2020 to great critical acclaim. The album's success was followed by La Infusión Mixtape Vol. 1 later that year.
