Black Breath
Originating in the town of Bellingham, WA and comprised of vocalist Nate McAdams, guitarists F. Funds and E. Wallace, bassist Elijah Nelson, and drummer J. Byrum Seattle-based Black Breath quickly established themselves as a popular Emerald City concert draw thanks to their crust-laden, metal-infused hardcore style, inspired by bands like Discharge, Poison Idea, and Wolverine Blues-era Entombed (who once covered the Repulsion track named "Black Breath," coincidentally). January of 2008 saw the independent release of the band's four-track EP, Razor to Oblivion, which eventually made its way into the hands of the Southern Lord label, and resulted in a contract for the band's debut full-length, Heavy Breathing, which hit the streets in early 2010. The group's sophomore effort, Sentenced to Life, arrived in 2012, again on Southern Lord, followed in 2015 by Slaves Beyond Death.
