Arielle Dombasle
Born Arielle Sonnery de Fromental in Norwich, CT, Dombasle spent much of her childhood in Mexico, where her grandfather was the French Ambassador. When she moved to France to study, her good looks and talents quickly propelled her into film. In 2004, Dombasle, who was by then a very successful and popular French television and movie star, as well as a singer, and married to liberal philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy, issued Amor Amor, a collection of covers, which then came out in the U.S. in 2006.
