Aldaaron
Hailing from the snowy French Alps, where they first formed in 2004 under the temporary name of Empires de Glace, Aldaaron are a black metal band inspired by the mysticism of nature and the fantasy worlds of J.R.R. Tolkien -- all of which they eloquently express in their native tongue instead of the genre's dominant English or Scandinavian languages. A demo entitled Des Légendes et Anciens Dieux first served evidence of this fact in 2007, while introducing the group's unquestionably brutal, grim, but relatively cleanly produced and certainly professionally executed black metal style. Two years later, this was brought to abundant fruition on Aldaaron's critically acclaimed debut album, Nous Reviendrons Immortels, recorded by the lineup of Ioldar (guitar, vocals), Voldr (guitar, vocals), Thøl (bass), and Mörkk (drums).
