謝安琪

Kay Tse On-kay (born on March 13, 1977 in Hong Kong), known as Kay Tse, is a Hong Kong Cantopop singer. Learning to play piano at the age of six, Tse continued her music studies throughout high school, and after being discovered during a university singing competition, released her debut pop-rock album Kay One in 2005, with bonus track “Follow Me” securing her first number 1 on the TVB charts. In 2006, Tse began to incorporate socio-cultural themes into her music, with single “Gloomy Festival” recognising marginalised groups, securing her instant chart success. Signing with major label Cinepoly Records, Tse released The First Day (2007) following this with chart topping singles "Problems upon Problems", "17 Degrees" and the socially conscious "Wedding Invitation Street" giving Tse a reputation as being a “grassroots diva”. Her 2008 album Binary was released to critical acclaim, certified platinum and earning her several awards including the 2008 Media Grand Prize. Yelling and Slowness followed in 2009, prior to a major stadium tour. After several industry setbacks throughout 2010, Tse began releasing music in Mandarin, releasing Second Home and With Thanks – Kay in 2010 and 2013 respectively. Continuing to release music with contentious themes, Tse released Kontinue, her first Cantonese album in three years, however was deemed too politically sensitive to garner any true success. Following an extended hiatus, she returned in 2018, collaborating with Hong Kong singer Juno Mack on three-part album, released in a series of EPs: The Album Part One (2018), The Album and the Rest of It…(2019) and The Album and the End of It (2020). Two years later, Tse returned with three-part album Thank you Angie Concert Preview Playlist parts 1, 2 and 3, releasing single “Polyhenia” on October 7, 2022.
