Irène Drésel
Born in Paris in 1984, Irène Billard is a multidisciplinary artist, trained at the Beaux-Arts and Gobelins schools. As a visual artist, she mixes media: photography, video and performance. But she is also interested in music, composing in an electronic register. She began working under her mother's maiden name, Drésel, in 2016, when she signed with the InFiné label, which released her first track, "Lutka". After two EPs, Rita (2017) and Icône (2018), came the studio albums Hyper Cristal (2019) and Kinky Dogma (2021), before signing the compositions for Éric Gravel's film À Plein Temps, which won her the César for Best Original Score in 2023. That same year, Jean-Michel Jarre included one of her tracks, which he renamed "Zeitgeist Botanica", on his Oxymoreworks album. The composer then worked on her third album, Rose Fluo, which was released in January 2024.
