For all the pretentious liner note ramblings about the moon being both a lady and a deity, this is a strong statement blending the atmospheric beauty of John Serrie with Celtic themes. Following up Celtic Legend, the synthesist embarks on a musical adventure that reconstructs one of the legendary druidistic games that always took place under cover of darkness upon the full moon adjoining Samhain. Its meditational tunes combine keyboards and the occasional acoustic piano with Uilleann pipes, whistles, guitars, flutes, skin drums, and spacey effects. Like a lot of exotic space music, it's best experienced as an encompassing musical guide; close your eyes, tilt your head back, and let it flow through you. It's relaxing and intriguing, although the artist's airy vocals don't really have the emotional impact he surely desires on tunes like "The Chill Wind."
