Marianna Pizzolato
Mezzo-soprano Marianna Pizzolato's career is based in the operatic and vocal work of the 18th and early 19th centuries. Her recordings include Vivaldi operas; Cherubini's Missa Solemnis in E; Rossini's La donna del lago and L'Italiana in Algeri; and in 2011, an album of Pergolesi's music with Anna Netrebko and Antonio Pappano. Pizzolato was educated at the Bellini Conservatory in Palermo, but also studied lieder in Nurenberg. Since her debut in 2003, she has appeared at numerous festivals throughout Europe and in Japan.
