Marc Beacco
Setting wordless scat singing to the improvisations of jazz musicians, Marc Beacco has created a unique approach to vocalizing. His 1995 album, Scampi Fritti, was a groundbreaking collaboration with American and European jazz musicians including Michael and Randy Brecker, trombonist Jim Pugh, and bassist Neils Henning-Olersted Pederson. Toto guitarist Steve Lukather praised Beacco for "combining the high-tech vocal techniques of the 1980s and '90s a cappella singers with guest instrumental soloists."
