Leddra Chapman
Singer/songwriter Leddra Chapman's summery acoustic sound sits somewhere between the poetic folk of early Joni Mitchell and the ska-tinged pop of Lily Allen. Born in Brentwood, Essex in 1989, Chapman taught herself to play the guitar and piano from the age of 12, and in her teens she recorded several demos in a small home-built studio in her family's garage. Following a show-stealing performance at Manchester's In the City Music Conference, which created a buzz around various record labels, she attended the London College of Music and performed at various European events after becoming an ambassador for the Quiksilver fashion label. In 2010 she released her debut album, Telling Tales, produced by Peter-John Vetesse (Annie Lennox, Sia), and embarked on a joint U.K. tour with Ben Montague.
