Isabella Lundgren

Born on December 21, 1987 in Karlstad, Sweden, Isabella Lundgren is an acclaimed jazz singer. She grew up in Karlstad but moved to New York City when she was 18 to study at the New School University for Jazz and Contemporary Music. She quickly integrated herself into the local jazz scene and collaborated with many of the city’s musicians including Gavin DeGraw, bandleader Eddy Davis, Dan Barrett, Fabrizio Sotti, and others. After finishing her studies in New York, Isabella Lundgren moved back to Sweden and continued her studies in Stockholm, pursuing a master’s degree in Theology. In 2012, she released her debut album, It Had to Be You. The album was a success with critics and sold well. In 2013, she collaborated with the Sweet Jazz Trio on the album Why Try to Change Me Now. Isabella Lundgren’s next album, Somehow Life Got in the Way (2014), was another success, winning the Golden Record Award in Sweden and was named Best Jazz Album of the Year in 2015. She continued to release successful albums including Isabella Sings the Treasures of Harold Arlen (2015), Where Is Home (2016), Songs to Watch the Moon (2017), Hit the Road to Dreamland (2018), Out of the Bell Jar (2019), and Look for the Silver Lining (2021).
