Elisa Point

A songwriter for other artists, Élisa Point also pursues a career as a performer, recognizable by the way she whispers her songs. Her real name is Alessia Innocenti, and she recorded the single "Garçons filles " for the Celluloid label, before making a name for herself in 1983 with her debut album L'Assassine, where her style immediately asserts itself in the way she whispers her lyrics over an electro-pop backdrop. In it, she reveals an intimate space inspired by the mythology of movie stars. A contributor to the magazine Cinématographe, Élisa Point composed the spoken opera Je suis d'une enfance incurable and wrote collections of poems. She returned to song with the album L'Instant d'Après... (1995), followed by Les Filles sont des Garçons Bizarres ! (1997). The 2000s saw her multiply her recordings with the albums La Panoplie des Jours Heureux (2000), the double CD Comme Une Ambitieuse au Bois Dormant (2002) and Autobiographie d'Un Regard (2004), then collaborations with Hervé Zenouda for Leçons de Chagrin... Cours de Joie de Vivre (2005) and Jacques Duvall for Pourquoi Pas Nous? (2007). At the same time, Élisa Point writes for Christophe on the album Comm' Si la Terre Penchait (2001), Gérard Darmon, Diane Tell and Caroline Loeb. In 2006, her Journal Intime d'Un Cœur brought together a hundred previously unreleased songs on 5 CDs. She formed the duo Désolé with Fabrice Ravel-Chapuis for the album Perdus Corps et Biens (2008), teamed up with Léonard Lasry on L'Exception (2012) and Alain Klinger on Ce Soir la Nuit Rentrera Tard (2018), between her own albums Toujours en Fin d'Adolescence (2014), Paysage au Creux de l'Oreille (2015), Petits Fragments de Soi à l'Abandon (2018) and Le Cinéma d'Élisa Point (2020).
