Dollypran

A child of the El Hank district in the Moroccan city of Casablanca, Mehdi Ghazoui, better known under the pseudonym Dollypran, first realized his artistic desires and passion for rap in 2009. Initially a topliner and then a songwriter for talents on the Moroccan scene, he made his real debut as a rapper in 2012, recording his own compositions. Influenced as much by 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliot as by more recent trap music, his sharp flow and precise punchlines instantly win over audiences. After the acclaimed singles "Taach " (2018), "Senhaji" (2019) and "Trump " (2019), his debut album, Traitement, confirmed a public eager for a first major project. After an appearance at the L'Boulevard festival in 2019 in front of several thousand fans in Casablanca, Dollypran enters 2022 with an eagerly-awaited new EP. MIXDEEP, which sees the rapper with his father on the cover, unfurls Dollypran's palette over five new tracks and inserts him into an increasingly prolific Moroccan rap scene.
