Oneerbiedig gezegd maken de muzikanten van Kodaline stadionrock: theatrale rock met melodieuze refreinen. Wie naar het debuutalbum In A Perfect World (2013) van de Ieren luistert, moet wel constateren dat de muzikanten goed naar de collega's van U2, Coldplay en Keane hebben geluisterd. Bijzonder origineel is het derhalve niet wat het kwartet uit Dublin op dit album te bieden heeft en de pathetische vocalen van zanger Steve Garrigan slaan soms door naar larmoyant. Het best tot hun recht komen de muzikanten in up tempo-nummers als "Brand New Day" en "Love like this", met een mooie mondharmonicapartij.
