Patrice Michaud

Born on November 1, 1980, in Cap-Chat, Quebec (Canada), Patrice Michaud's musical career took off in 2008 after he won several awards at various festivals. His folk, pop and rock-influenced universe is reflected in his albums from 2011 onwards: the first, Le Triangle des Bermudes, is released that year, and takes the artist on an extensive tour of over a hundred dates. The next album, Le Feu de Chaque Jour, was released in 2014, and attracted radio attention thanks to its natural single, "Mécaniques générales". At the 36th Gala de l'ADISQ, the album won the Félix award in the Album of the Year category, paving the way for its successor, Almanach, released in 2017, whose first single, "Kamikaze", was crowned "Song of the Year" at the Gala de l'ADISQ, a ceremony at which Patrice Michaud also won the Félix award for Male Performer of the Year. He would win this award again the following year. The year 2021 was also a busy one for the Quebecer, who first hosted the TVA program Star Académie. He then wrote the children's book La Soupe aux allumettes, illustrated by Guillaume Perreaul, which won the Prix des libraires du Québec 2022 in the Québec-Jeunesse category. But above all, he returned with the album Grand Voyage Désorganisé, driven by the single "1977", which climbed to #39 in the local charts.
