The only trace of the short-lived KOD trio, the song "Chacun sa route" unites the three music stars: reggae singer and songwriter Tonton David (b. 1967), Ugandan guitarist and singer Geoffrey Oryema (b. 1953, signed by the Real World label) and jazz and rock drummer Manu Katché (b. 1958), whose initials give the group its name. Selected for the credits of Hervé Palud's film Un Indien dans la ville (1994), with the participation of Thierry Lhermitte and Patrick Timsit, the single "Chacun sa route" became a hit, spending twenty-five weeks in the Top 50 and reaching third place in sales by the end of 1994.
