Genic

GENIC, managed by Avex Management, is a dynamic seven-member dance and vocal group hailing from Japan. In 2019, the group's inception stemmed from the a-genic PROJECT, a venture aimed at developing a new co-ed ensemble. Following auditions, twelve members were initially chosen to participate in recording original tracks such as "READY GO" and "Natsukoi" before participating in various training camps and performances. Eventually, seven performers were selected, comprising Mashiko Atsuki, Nishizawa Joe, Amemiya Kakeru, Nishimoto Maiki, Koike Ryuki, Kaneya Maria, and Ui Yurari, leading to the formation of GENIC. November 15 marked a significant milestone for GENIC with the release of their inaugural digital EP, SUNGENIC ep. This compilation featured tracks from their pre-debut era alongside two fresh offerings: "SUN COMES UP" and "HISTORIES," contributed by Kudo Taiki from their senior group, Da-iCE. Their debut album, GENEX, hit the shelves on May 27, 2020, debuting at number 16 on the Japanese charts. This success was followed by Ever Yours in 2022, which also made its mark, reaching number 17. Noteworthy singles from these albums include "Shaky Shaky" and "We Gotta Move." March 2024 saw GENIC's return with the release of their third album, N_G, preceded by the singles "TALK" and "I'll Be There," the latter serving as the theme song for the television drama I like it, but how is it?
