16BIT
The group 16 Bit was born in 1986, the fruit of the complicity of two producers, Michael Münzig and Luca Anzilotti. These two Frankfurt-born Germans with a passion for electronic music came up with their first synthetic-sounding single, "Where Are You?" , which reached number 11 in the German charts in November 1986. The following spring, the duo hit the charts again, this time with "Changing Minds ", topped by robotic vocals, which climbed to number 19. But the band soon ran out of steam, marked by the release of a daring cover of Iron Butterfly's "Ina Gadda-da-Vida ", and broke up in 1989 after just three years.
