About Playlist

In February carnivals flourish all around the world. This is an opportunity to evacuate the bad waves of the past year, to dress up, to meet people and dance to drunkenness. The streets of the world are open to music and women, men and children do not hesitate to join the party. Here you have the choice, the rhythms abound: marchinha, samba, forro, focused Brazilian or merengue of Santo Domingo, rara of Haiti, gaga of Dominican Republic, fanfares and chants of Mardi Gras Indians of New Orleans or Soca de Trinidad and Tobago. This small trip in space is also an exploration in time. The introductory marchinha, sung by Carmen Miranda, dates from 1936 and the closing socas were written for the 2018 carnival. With Caetano Veloso, Luiz Gonzaga, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Cesaria Evora, Dr. John, Calypso Rose, Machel Montano ...
