Yashua

Dominican-American singer/songwriter and dancer Yashua made his breakthrough on the singing competition La Banda before embarking on a solo career as an entertainer influenced by Chris Brown and Michael Jackson. Born Yashua Camacho in Providence, Rhode Island, he later moved to Manchester, New Hampshire with his brother Richard, where the two attended high school. In 2015, during their senior year, the siblings competed on the first season of La Banda. While Richard went on to win the competition -- along with four others -- and form the boy band CNCO, Yashua was eliminated after the first round. Free to pursue his own interests, he began penning tunes for other artists, including CNCO's 2017 hit "Reggaeton Lento." He also worked with electronic acts Matoma and Dillon Francis, while also utilizing his bilingual abilities on collaborations with Jimmy Duval ("Mamasita"), Karloff ("Relax"), Fancy Cars ("Belong to U"), and Samantha Camara ("Into You x Back to Sleep"). After signing a deal with Marc Anthony's Magnus Music, Yashua issued the single "Silencio" in April 2018.
