Times Of Grace
The side project of hyperkinetic Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, Times of Grace formed in 2008 while Dutkiewicz was convalescing after getting emergency back surgery while on tour. He began recording songs during his downtime, playing all of the instruments himself and recruiting former Killswitch Engage singer Jesse Leach to handle vocal duties. The project’s sound blends shoegaze atmospherics with metalcore, creating a sound that favors expansiveness over aggression. Dutkiewicz completed recording on the album in 2009, but delays prevented the album from being released. Times of Grace’s debut, Hymn of a Broken Man, was eventually released in early 2011 on Roadrunner Records.
