Sea Girls

This all-male London indie rock quartet formed in 2015, evoking an anthemic early-2000s alt-pop sound. Chosen for its ambiguity, the band's name was inspired by a misheard lyric in Nick Cave's brooding "Water's Edge." The lead track from their debut release -- 2017's Call Me Out EP -- enjoyed plays on BBC Radio 1, which led to multiple inquiries from festival bookers. Thanks to incessant touring and a long and prolific run of singles and EPs, when their debut album, Open Up Your Head, finally arrived in 2020, it went straight into the U.K. Top Five. 2022 brought the follow-up Homesick, recorded in Brixton, South London, and California with producers Larry Hibbitt, Cass Lowe, Jonny Coffer, and Jacknife Lee.
